Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to come to consecutive sessions?
While I recommend attending sessions consecutively to see maximum results, I understand that life circumstances can sometimes make that difficult. If you need to miss a week, try to attend two sessions the following week instead.
My membership system allows you to book as many sessions as you purchase within a given month. You are not restricted in how many of those sessions you use per week and or which days or times you wish to attend. There are plenty of classes on offer, please see my timetable here. However, if it is not possible for you to attend your chosen class you can also use the on-demand library.
How many people attend the class?
The class has a maximum capacity of 14 participants. It’s very important to book your spot in the class you wish to attend to ensure we don’t exceed that capacity.
I like to keep the class sizes small to make sure everyone has plenty of space and can receive the individual attention they need. That’s why I limit each class to no more than 14 people.
Is it okay to come and try it out?
Yes, sure! You can claim a FREE trial by emailing Vicky at freetrialclass@pilatesactive.com
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring a mat, I do provide some spare mats, so if you can’t provide our own you can borrow one of those. I provide all other equipment.
Are ‘Pilates for All’ sessions suitable for beginners?
Yes, they are. The great thing about Pilates is all the exercises are easily modified for all levels, so the classes are accessible for everyone.
Can I try ‘Challenging Pilates’?
Yes! This class is designed for those of you who feel confident with the fundamentals and want to challenge yourself. But I am always on hand to help modify the trickier exercises. Come along and give it a try!
Why do I sometimes receive extra credits within a month?
You might receive extra credits within a month because I take four weeks of holiday each year. As a way of thanking you for your continued support, I gift extra credits to my clients to compensate for those weeks I’m away. This is especially helpful if there’s an extra session in a month, for example if there are five Tuesdays in May and you attend every Tuesday without an extra charge.
Can my credits be rolled over to the next month?
No, as we encourage consistent practice for optimal results. Although, if you’re going away, you can pause your membership. This will be reflected in your next payment. Please let us know in advance so we can adjust your membership accordingly. We cannot make changes retrospectively.
